About the author
Yordan Rocio Maldonado
I have designed structures since 2015. I work in international consultancy on bridges with 25 to 210 m spans, metro stations, buildings in Saudi Arabia and hydraulic structures in the Peruvian Andes.
My field is seismic bridge engineering. I model in OpenSees, write Python, and use optimization and machine learning to reach a sound preliminary design faster.
I write these notes to organize what I learn. Each one cites the code clause and includes an example you can redo on a calculator. If you spot a mistake, message me.
